PWSC Classic tryout and selection process

U11&U12 Boys and Girls
Monday June 1 and Tuesday June 2 6:30- 8:00
U13 & U14 Boys and Girls
Wednesday June 3 and Thursday June 4 6:30- 8:00
U15 and up Boys and Girls
Monday June 29 and Tuesday June 30 6:00-7:30
Scheduling of tryouts and the player selection process follow Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association guidelines. The following information is provided to help parents and players understand this process and resulting team commitments.
1. All players will submit a completed PWSC registration form at the time of tryouts.
2. After tryouts are completed players will be notified at the field or by phone within 3 days with an offer to be on the team.
3. Players may indicate their preference at the time of notification but no later than 5 days from the time they were notified.
4. At least one parent of the player will need to attend the mandatory team meeting, which will be held in the Port Washington Police Dept. Community room. If some valid reason one parent is unable to attend the meeting it is the parents responsibility to deliver all fees and forms to the Classic Coordinator (Steve Ziebell) prior to the meeting date. At this meeting,
A. The first order of business will be to select the team manager. If you are interested in this opportunity please contact the Classic Coordinator ahead of the meeting date.
B. Second you will need to provide the $110 registration fee payable to the PWSC, plus one half of the PWSC Classic fee ($142.50- full year teams or $85- half year teams) payable to the PWSC. Full payment will be accepted at this time if you desire ($285-full year teams or $170-half year teams)
C. Third a $50 check payable to the team manager will be collected for use in applying to team tournaments. Fall tournaments will be selected at this time. Tournament fees will be divided by the number of players on the team and will be each players responsibility even if not attending the tournament
D. Uniform order form must be completed and payment attached (payable to the PWSC).
5. Remainder of the Classic fee must be paid prior to September 1.
6. Playing time is determined by the coach and is based on attitude, performance and practice attendance.
