Expectations

Posted by on Monday, January 31, 2005 (EST)

What should you and your family expect when you become a competative player.

Tournament Participation

Part of th Classic experience is the focus on "Team". Attendance at tournaments is also mandatory for Classic Players. We understand though, that there are acceptable reasons for every situation that may prevent a player from attending an event. This does not absolve players from their responsibilities to the team, including payig for their share of each tournament and related costs.

Practices

Classic practices are usually two times per week and last 1 1/2 hours.

Spring/Fall

Classic teams will participate in 2-4 fall tournaments and 3-5 spring tournaments. We encourage our teams to participate in the WYSA State Cup.  Travel time is usually no more than one hour.

Winter

Classic teams participate in winter indoor leagues at Uihlein Soccer Park or the Brookfield Indoor Soccer Complex (optional).

So, if you feel your son or daughter is ready to take their game to the next level, Classic Soccer is for you!

Playing Time

The PWSC has no rule concerning playing time at the select level. It is up to the coach's discretion to award playing time based on several factors, which include: skill level, player attitude and behavior, attendance, conduct on and off the field, and game situation.
